WASH in Schools - Steps to Better Health

Are you passionate about investing in future and seeing youth make a difference in the lives of those around them?

Lifewater International (LI) is excited to train new field office staff members in The Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples' Region (SNNPR) of Ethiopia  in our WASH in Schools - Steps to Better Health curriculum. The Lifewater Bensa field office team will then train primary school teachers in the Bensa region of Ethiopia how to instigate and lead effective Water access, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) clubs in schools. These activities are part of a larger regional WASH program to mobilize 3000 households in constructing their own household latrines and handwashing stations, construct or rehabilitate 99 water points, and serve 4 primary schools serving 5,800 students and teachers over the next three years.

A team of 3 qualified volunteers will travel with 1 Lifewater staff member to Debre Zeit, Ethiopia to train LI Bensa staff in Lifewater's  WASH in Schools - Steps to Better Health curriculum.

NOTE: The estimated trip cost DOES NOT include international airfare which is estimated at $1800. Individuals will purchase airfare on their own.  All on the ground costs such as lodging, food, and transportation are included in the estimated trip cost of ($1350).
