1600 children die each day due to PREVENTABLE water-borne diseases and over 443 million school days are missed each year because of water-borne disease.

Lifewater 202: Steps to Better Health is Lifewater's primary school WASH curriculum that teaches age appropriate lessons to children on the importance of handwashing, using a latrine, and water storage and treatment. Through the formation of WASH in Schools clubs, these steps not only lead to saved lives, increased school attendance, and better health but also enable children to be active change makers in their communities, taking health lessons home into the communities Lifewater serves.

Lifewater trains national school administrators, teachers, and health workers in this curriculum as part of a larger regional WASH program.

Once Water Corps volunteers complete this course they are qualified to participate in facilitating Lifewater's WASH in Schools curriculum overseas.

Note: Registration includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks as well as course materials.
